Players in 1st grade must have participated in Future Laxers Clinic before progressing to the Rookie Clinic.
This is registration for an entry-level, in-town instructional lacrosse clinic offered to 2nd and 1st grade boys in which players will use traditional lacrosse equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads and gloves). Players will participate in basic skills practice such as catching, throwing, cradling and shooting and play in small-sided games. The program consists of the following:
- 12 one-hour clinic sessions.
- Two sessions per week; one Wednesday early evening and one Saturday over a six week period.
- The Saturday sessions will be scheduled for early afternoons to minimize schedule conflicts with other sports.
- The practices will occur at the Elm Street Facility in Florham Park.
We will continue to have dedicated experienced coaches. Sessions will run 1 hour where we will provide a fun environment for kids to develop basic lacrosse skills.
The players in this clinic are required to have their own stick, helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves and mouthpiece. The registration fee includes a Florham Park Lacrosse pratice pinnie.
Information on equipment recommendations to follow soon.
